A report on GV Pride?s 5th birthday party (Saturday 19 June 2010) By Glenys ? an (extra)ordinary GV Pride committee member DAN_0003.JPG DAN_0010.JPG Goulburn Valley Pride celebrated their 5th birthday on 19th June with a dinner and show starring Drags Aloud at the GV Hotel Shepparton. Committee members helped to decorate the classic room with multi colored streamers and helium filled balloons on the tables. As guests arrived they received a lucky number for the door prize ? 1st being a bottle of Monchino wine and 2nd a box of chocolates. DAN_0008.JPG DAN_0053.JPG Kristie Schoots and Andy Horton two of our local singers provided entertainment before the serving of delicious finger food which was followed by the main meal ? a choice of steak, chicken or risotto and Trina Diamond also performed during the evening to Lady Gaga. After main course Drags Aloud came on the stage in their gorgeous and colorful costumes and kept everyone entertained with their singing, dancing and comedy. I really enjoyed their performances and am sure everyone else did as well. You can?t have a birthday party without a cake and this was a delicious number 5 chocolate mud cake complete with candles and after everyone sang happy birthday to GV Pride the candles were blown out and the celebrations continued.
